A contemporary outdoor masterpiece, the Hamilton collection by South Sea Rattan moves from the sun room to the family room to the great outdoors with ease. Created of natural teak and synthetic wicker, the upholstery; sofa, loveseat, chair and ottoman, and tables; coffee and end, can be left outdoors with minimal maintenance.

The softly curving teak arms are supported by large diameter round poles that provide strength and stability. The warm, medium tone finish allows Hamilton to combine with other elements in the home or on the deck.

This wicker and rattan furniture line has been a stylish alternative in casual home furnishings since 1984. Wicker is a classic, natural material with centuries of history and it works well for the furniture buyer who wants a home reflecting the feel of casual elegance. Wicker furniture offers comfort, versatility and functionality. It mixes well with upholstered pieces, providing texture and nature to the home environment, patio, or sunroom.

Most wicker and rattan furniture originates from Southeast Asia and the materials are imported to the United States, where the furniture is assembled and finished by hand. The fabrics are from North & South Carolina mills, and all cushions, covering, and upholstery are crafted at the company's North Carolina facility.

Rattan is a vine from the tropical forests of the Far East, where it grows hundreds of feet in length, and is one of nature's strongest materials. Since it does not splinter or break, it is ideal for making furniture. Once molded, solid rattan retains its contours permanently. Peel is the outer skin of the rattan pole and traditionally is used to wrap the furniture joints. Wicker refers to products that are made from reed, cane, rush, willow or other woven natural materials. Wicker and Rattan are natural products with each piece having its own individual, unique qualities. When stained there will be slight differences in hue and color of the wicker furniture and this is part of the beauty of owning a product crafted from natural materials.
